Ark Data Services
is a blockchain data storage company ran by a small team based in Southern California.
They needed a new website to help promote their business, and from that initial site design I fleshed out a concise set of brand guidelines.
Taking experience from my summer internship, I applied my knowledge of brand guidelines to this freelance project to help create a system that was easy to adapt and applicable to different contexts.
Tone of VoiceThe goal for the brand is to convey a professional and approachable tone of voice to help give their customers a sense of security and reliability.I wanted to take the motif of a cloud and contruct it in a modular and interesting way. I wanted some of the cloud construction to peak through by adding intentionally-placed curves and corners.

Applying our design rulesI was initially given two colors (a bright blue and orange) and one font, and through this process I helped to expand their design palette by introducing new tints and type pairings.I designed multiple pages for Ark Data Services that contained custom graphics such as reskinned charts and largekey stats. This was a good opportunity to figure out when to use certain colors and to determine the iconography style.
